THE CAMP BROOKLYN/SCOPE PROGRAM

Residential, not-for-profit camps that are accredited by the American Camp Association's (ACA) New York, New Jersey, or Keystone Sections may apply for participation in the SCOPE/Camp Brooklyn program. All SCOPE camps commit to maintaining a high level of quality in facilities, program and staff, and to the accreditation standards of the ACA. SCOPE administers the funds raised by Camp Brooklyn which are distributed among the participating camps for allocation to eligible children. Although SCOPE sets the eligibility guidelines, each camp determines which children will be accepted into its program.

Most SCOPE camps partner with schools and community organizations which refer eligible children for camperships. Those interested may also apply directly to participating camps. Please review the information below to determine if your child qualifies for a campership and for the application procedures.

If you are interested in obtaining a CAMP BROOKLYN scholarship; please follow these steps:

  1. 1. Apply directly to camps listed here which participate in the Camp Brooklyn program. You may obtain information about each camp by visiting their website or by calling the camp office directly.
